Fuzzy Logics

From Web developer to Management Consultant

2 more weeks to graduation!!! okay maybe not..

Well, it’s not officially graduation but I’ve effectively completed all my modules in SMU. The only thing missing now is the internship requirement which I will commence in about a month in SAS. Hopefully, my professor replies soon to the availability of the internship.

As I write this, I’m actually preparing for a presentation at noon tomorrow as well as proof-reading and editing a case study that my team and I have written. I wrote like maybe 35% of the thing while my other team member who was super hardworking and efficient wrote 65% – 70%. Kinda felt bad but I was really bogged down by other modules which needed my urgent attention.

My AA presentation went surprisingly smooth with no major hiccup during the presentation. The only mad-dash we had was fixing a session replication bug that we found all of a sudden. Ironically, it was simply due to a tag that we left out in the web.xml file of the application.

Basically, after 3pm tomorrow, I would be able to dedicate my entire week to preparing for the Physical Science presentation that we’re doing on Solar activities e.g. Solar quakes, solar storms.

Looking back, the decision I made to leave CNET and head to SMU was the right one. I’ve met great friends, got together with Farah, learnt a whole bunch of new things which I wouldn’t even have thought of Googling like Enterprise Architecture, Integration Middleware, Internet Banking, Derivatives and Hedge Funds. L-O-L man. Really.

Have an interview at Accenture on Friday for a CRM Consultant position. Hopefully that will go through and I get the job. Will be great to have something before I officially graduate. May need a vacation first though. Just to recuperate and regather my thoughts and goals.

Thank God, for the stuff I’ve been blessed with and keeping my life on track on a straight path.

Peace out.
